Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
infoman.lt is a public Lithuanian data site — prices, statistics and news. The data controller is the site operator. The contact address is info@infoman.lt.
2. What data we collect
If you register, we store account data: your email address, a cryptographic hash of your password (we never store the password itself) and your role. Registration is optional — all public content works without an account.
The server infrastructure keeps standard technical logs (IP address, request time) for security and troubleshooting. We use no analytics and no marketing tracking tools.
3. Visit statistics
We keep anonymous aggregate visit statistics: the domain of the site you arrived from and the page you opened. These are totals — how many times a given page was opened from a given source on a given day. There is no record of an individual visit, so these numbers cannot be tied back to a person.
No cookies are used for these statistics, no personal data, IP addresses or browser identifiers are stored, and no third-party tools are involved. We never pass this data to anyone and never sell it.
4. Cookies
We use essential cookies only:
- an authentication cookie — only if you sign in to an account;
- a language cookie storing your choice of LT or EN;
- a security cookie (CSRF protection).
We set no tracking, analytics or marketing cookies.
Besides cookies, your choice of the light or dark theme is remembered in your browser's
localStorage under the key infoman-theme. It is a setting, not an
identifier: it stays on your device and is never sent to the server, and without it you get
whichever theme your system asks for.
5. Third-party content
On the offers pages, product images load directly from the retailers' own servers (Maxima, Rimi, Iki, Lidl, Norfa). While you browse those pages your browser therefore contacts those servers, and they can see your IP address and browser type. We never send them any account data.
On the news list, headline images load directly from the news outlets' own servers in the same way: while you browse that page your browser contacts those servers, and they can see your IP address and browser type. We send them no referrer.
External links — for example Google Maps directions, shops' own pages or data-source sites — lead to services governed by their own privacy policies.
The data sources shown on the site — Eurostat, the ECB, Statistics Lithuania, ENA, Nord Pool and Elering, retailer pages and state registries — hold no personal data about visitors.
6. How we use data
Account data is used only for signing in and managing access. We do not sell personal data and do not share it with third parties. We carry out no profiling and make no automated decisions about you.
7. Retention
Account data is kept until you ask us to delete it (using the contact address info@infoman.lt). Technical server logs are rotated and deleted on a short cycle.
8. Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access your data and to have it rectified, erased or ported, and the right to restrict or object to its processing. To exercise these rights, write to info@infoman.lt.
Complaints about the processing of personal data are handled by the State Data Protection Inspectorate of Lithuania (vdai.lrv.lt).

Any changes to this policy will be posted on this page.
